Imaging technology:
Electronic ureteroscopy uses an electronic imaging system. A camera inside is capable of capturing high-resolution images, and electronic imaging reduces image distortion compared to conventional optical ureteroscopes. For example, it can clearly show the tiny blood vessels of the ureteral mucosa and the fine structure of the renal pelvis and calyces. Moreover, the image can be directly transmitted to the display in the form of an electronic signal, which is convenient for doctors to observe, but also easy to store and analyze the image later.
Operating flexibility:
The design of electronic ureteroscope makes it have good operability. Its front end can be flexibly bent, and the bending Angle is generally within a certain range (the bending Angle of different models is different), which can adapt to the physiological bending of the ureter. This allows the doctor to manipulate it smoothly through the narrow part of the ureter and into deeper urinary structures such as the renal pelvis for examination and treatment.
Device channel design:
It is equipped with a suitable instrument channel, the size of the channel can allow various therapeutic instruments to pass through, such as laser fiber, stone basket, electric cutting knife, etc. This allows for timely treatment when lesions are found during the examination, for example, when ureteral stones are found, a laser fiber can be inserted through the instrument channel for lithotripsy treatment.
Urinary stone treatment:
It is an important tool for the treatment of ureteral calculi and some renal pelvis calculi. For ureteral calculi, electronic ureteroscopy can directly observe the size, shape, position and number of calculi. The holmium laser fiber is inserted through the instrument channel, and the energy of the holmium laser is used to break the stones into small particles, which are then allowed to pass out of the body on their own or removed through a lithotomy basket. In the treatment of pyelolithiasis, some smaller pyelolithiasis can also be treated in a similar way.
Diagnosis and treatment of urinary system tumors:
It can help doctors observe the shape, size, location of urinary tumors and the relationship between tumors and surrounding tissues. In terms of diagnosis, tumor tissue can be obtained by an electronic ureteroscope for biopsy to determine the nature of the tumor (benign or malignant). In terms of treatment, for some early small tumors of the urinary system, the tumor can be removed by inserting an electric knife through the instrument channel to reduce the trauma of the patient.
Diagnosis and treatment of urinary stricture:
The location, length and extent of ureteral stenosis can be observed. During treatment, the dilating balloon is inserted through the instrument channel to dilate the narrow site and improve the patency of the ureter.
